Ugliest Shoes I've Ever Seen

While browsing around looking at sick shoes that I would love to own,
I also came across a few really ugly shoes.
So I had just had to share.
Enjoy =]

I think we can all agree that heels are sexy.
But please, 1 inch heels are a crime.

These are the next level up from ugly toe socks

Crocs are probably the most horrid shoes on earth. I really don't understand their popularity.
And when we all thought we would get a break from that eye sore during the winter months,
guess again.

I bring you,
The Yeti!

The Moose

Fish Flops?

NIPPLES!

Mhmm, that's right...uhuhhh OH NO!
Check yourself girl, you got a camel toe!

Lastly, I give you,
Flipper heels

I'm thankful for...

Happy Thanksgiving today!
Here's what I'm thankful for....

I'm thankful for Sam Edelman,
For making a rip off of these Balenciaga shoes so that I could buy them!

I'm thankful for make-up and photoshop,
Which make me look like a civilized human being.

I'm thankful for the gym,
Which will help me loose all the holiday weight!

 Happy Thanksgiving!!

Morning Glory Designs

Every so often I find an article of clothing, pair of shoes, or accessory that I'm obsessed with.
Models are often considered the face of fashion. So as a model, what you wear is always judged.
Over the years I've become picky on what I'll buy and wear to castings, jobs, ect.
Nothing is worse than seeing another girl wearing your shoes, jacket, or accessories!

Jewelry is a perfect way to add a little extra to an outfit.
A plain black shirt with a great necklace can often look better.
I personally love rings and always try to look for something unique and different.
So last night while I was browsing around online I found a ring that I'm obsessed with!
The designer also makes a lot of other very beautiful pieces and I had to share.

The designs are Victorian and Renaissance inspired.
Which I think make for very unique pieces.
The designer also teaches free jewelry making classes to cancer patients.
Here are a few of my favorite pieces!

Dream Weaver Ring

I LOVE this ring. And it has quickly stole the #1 spot on my wishlist.

The stone is a hand made Mexican Glass Fire Opal.
Set in antiqued brass filigree.

Here's a few other pieces I like.

Legacy Bracelet in Aquamarine
Layers of brass filigree surround a gorgeous aquamarine colored Czech glass jewel.

After the Rain
Swarovski Crystal nestled into the prettiest antiqued brass pieces.

Summertime Blues
Sapphire set in layers of antiqued brass.

These are just a few of my favorite pieces. There's a lot of beautiful pieces in her store.
Go check it out!

Modelinia Interview

While I was in the Cayman Islands for the Cayman Fashion Solstice event, Modelinia caught up with Kacie and I to talk about our trip.
We were at the all White party when we got pulled aside for an interview.
I've been searching and searching for the video and finally found the interview.
Unfortunately they didn't post the video itself, but Both Kacie and I are quoted a few times.
They also feature a slide show of photos from the White party, and a video from the show!
Check it out =]

Cayman Fashion Solstice: Day 4 & 5

In case you missed what's happened so far on the Cayman Island Fashion Solstice event trip,
Cayman Fashion Solstice: Day 1
Cayman Fashion Solstice: Day 2
Cayman Fashion Solstice: Day 3

On Sunday, Day 4, of the Cayman Island fashion event trip we were supposed to have an island boat tour.
However, there was a tropical storm that made the water really rough. So we ended up not being able to go.
Instead we started out the day eating breakfast together.
From there we went on an Island bus tour.
I just want to say a big thanks to Aysha and James who were our bus tour guides. They were so fun, sweet, and welcoming.
Here's some photos from our Island tour =]

A local native

The bus tour was a lot of fun. We got to see a few neat places on this beautiful island.
After we went back to Tikki Beach for late lunch. I had the same Jerk Chicken Penne Pasta. It was just too good not to have again.
Then we all took a picture together! =]

After Tikki Beach we all went back to our hotels. They were having a going away party at Tikki Beach later that night. But I skipped out. I was in serious need of sleep, and I had school work to catch up on.

Monday morning Kacie and I got up, had breakfast and went straight to the beach.
A few of us laid out for 2 hours before it was time to pack up and head home.
It was so depressing to leave such an amazing beautiful place.
The Cayman Islands really make you love life.
I highly recommend a trip there!
<3

And on a final note I want to thank everyone who took part in this event.
A special thanks to Terry Donovan and Cindy Rosan-Jones for putting on this event and taking care of EVERY thing!
A thanks to the sweet Alva Page, Memsor Kamarake, and Carlton Jones.
To all the talented designers, your collections were amazing.
Thanks to all of the hair and make-up team. The dressers and assistant stylists.
All of the restaurants, clubs, event hosts, the Ritz (even though you kicked me off the beach! lol), the Marriott, our tour guides, and everyone else!
And of course, all the beautiful models!

Cayman Fashion Solstice: Day 3 (The Show)

Incase you missed it, get caught up,

Day 3, Saturday.
The day of the show!!

That morning it was REALLY hard to get out of bed. None of us were getting very much sleep through out the trip and it was starting to really catch up. But I some how made it to breakfast and then it was back to the Ritz for more fittings. The fitting went quickly and a few of us had some downtime before lunch. Off to the beach!!

Kacie and I headed down to the beach at the Ritz. One of the workers set up some chairs for us. When he asked our room number we explained that we were there for the fashion show. He told us that the beach was for guests only. We asked if it was okay to stay since we were there at the hotel working. He asked the manager and told us no.
So we headed to the pool instead. We grabbed two chairs and a few mins later another man came to ask us our room number. Kacie told him #513, which he informed us there was no 513. So we explained to him that we are in the fashion show and half the group is staying at the Ritz. He demanded a name and room number. We said we'd call and find out and he left us alone for a few mins while we pretended to be finding out room numbers. A few mins later he comes back by to tell us that we need a name and number or he'll have to call security.
Meanwhile, there were two other models sleeping on hammocks and another model on the beach. No one was bothering them! I was so angry! There were 200 open chairs so it's not like we were taking up chairs guests needed. We weren't drunk so it's not like we were out of control causing a scene. And I don't want to sound conceded but, we're models! Who doesn't want sexy girls lounging around by their poolside?! It makes the hotel look good. Ugh!
We decided to make it look like we were leaving and go sit by Kelly, who was on the beach. No one else bothered us for the remaining 5 mins that we were there. Then we headed off to lunch.

We had lunch at a small Caribbean buffet place.
Excellent food and amazing iced coffees.

After lunch we went back to the Ritz for hair and makeup!

Me and my dark circles from lack of sleep getting our hair done

Me getting my dark circles covered up =]

There were 10 designers showing in the event.
I walked for 9 of them, but I wore 2 outfits for 1 designer.
So in total I had 10 looks.
Super model Selita Ebanks hosted the show.

The first 5 designers showed. Then there was an intermission, a painting auction, and a performance by IYAZ. Then it was the remaining 5 designers. I had an absolute blast through out the show! It was so much fun. One of the best times I've ever had.
Here's a bunch of pictures from the show!

Ahh so many pictures!

After the show was of course, the after party.
We all piled into a limo and went to a mansion. It was a very beautiful home. We spent some time there eating, drinking, dancing. talking, and having a great time!

There's still 2 more days of Cayman fun to cover! =]
